Robert B. Akenhead, M.D.

Dr. Akenhead is a Board Certified radiologist practicing in Huntsville since 1986. He holds an additional Board Certification in Internal Medicine. A graduate of Georgia Tech with a B.S. in Electrical Engineering, he received his M.D. from Louisiana State University Medical School. Dr. Akenhead completed his internal medicine residency at the University of Alabama in Birmingham in 1979 and his diagnostic radiology residency at University of Alabama in Birmingham in 1986. He is a member of the American College of Radiology, the Radiological Society of North America, the American Society of Internal Medicine, as well as numerous other professional organizations.
