Dr. Tomalty received a B.S. in Biochemistry and his M.D. at the University of Western Ontario, graduating cum laude. He received numerous honors and awards during his academic career. He completed a residency in orthopedic surgery at the University of British Columbia, Canada in 1987 and a residency in radiology at University of Alberta, Canada in 1995. Dr. Tomalty then completed a fellowship in interventional radiology at the University of Nebraska. Prior to joining Radiology of Huntsville, Dr. Tomalty served as Chair of the Department of Radiology at Shaikh Khalifa Medical Center, Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. He has been published in several journals and has given numerous professional presentations and invited lectures.
