Experience
Dr. Michael (Austin) Coker was born and raised in Birmingham, Alabama. He graduated summa cum laude from Auburn University obtaining dual degrees in Chemistry and Spanish. He then earned his M.D. degree from the University of Alabama at Birmingham School of Medicine. Dr. Coker completed an internship with the Brookwood Baptist Health System in Birmingham, AL followed by a residency in Diagnostic Radiology and a Breast Imaging fellowship both completed at the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston, SC. Dr. Coker joined Radiology of Huntsville in July 2025.
Dr. Coker is a member of several professional medical organizations including the American College of Radiology, the Radiological Society of North America, and the Society of Breast Imaging.
Dr. Coker’s expertise comprises all facets of breast imaging including mammography, ultrasound, breast MRI, and image-guided interventions.
