Experience
Dr. Phillip Bates joined Radiology of Huntsville in July 2018. He graduated summa cum laude from the University of Alabama with a B.S. in Chemical Engineering in 2006. Dr. Bates worked for 2 years as a process engineer for Shell Chemical in Geismar, Louisiana before entering medical school. He earned his M.D. degree in 2012 from the University of South Alabama College of Medicine. Dr. Bates then completed an internal medicine internship, radiology residency, and neuroradiology fellowship at the University of Florida Shands Hospital in Gainesville from 2012 through 2018. Dr. Bates is board certified in diagnostic radiology by the American Board of Radiology. He is a member of the American College of Radiology, the Radiological Society of North America, and the American Society of Neuororadiology.
